DavFest 2026: Two Days. One Town. Infinite Sound
Set against the vibrant green of Daventry Rugby Club, DavFest returns on 24–25 July 2026 with a confident promise: two days of exhilarating live music, electric atmosphere, and a celebration of sound that feels unmistakably Daventry. Bigger, bolder, and more beautifully curated than ever, the town’s flagship festival once again raises the bar; championing musical diversity while placing exceptional local talent firmly centre stage.
The weekend opens with a proud salute to homegrown artistry. Layla Dawson steps into the spotlight first, her captivating sound setting an elegant and assured tone for the days ahead. She’s followed by much-loved local favourites Rising Sons, delivering pitch-perfect renditions of timeless classics that feel tailor-made for golden summer afternoons.
Then the festival’s first tribute moment arrives in full force. Tina Turner by Julie Nevada ignites the stage with a powerhouse celebration of the Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll; Proud Mary, Simply the Best, and What’s Love Got to Do With It ringing out in triumphant style. As anticipation reaches fever pitch, Friday’s headline moment lands exactly where it should. Madness by Complete Madness (The Nutty Boys) take over with an extended, anthem-packed set, Our House, Baggy Trousers, It Must Be Love, House of Fun; delivering a euphoric, skanking finale that seals night one as unforgettable.
Saturday opens with intrigue. A special TBC slot promises something deeply meaningful for the Daventry community, hinted to represent nothing less than the future of music itself. A moment to watch closely.
From there, the festival heads west. Whiskey Flame, Daventry’s own, bring Wild West swagger and sun-soaked charm, cowboy hats not just welcome, but encouraged. The afternoon rolls seamlessly into another local triumph as All About Everything lift the crowd with feel-good anthems and irresistible crowd-pleasers.
As daylight softens, pop takes centre stage. Lady Gaga by So Tribute commands attention with chart-defining hits, Bad Romance, Poker Face, Born This Way, Shallow, before the ultimate ’90s nostalgia rush arrives. Spice Girls by 90s SPICE Tribute deliver pure pop joy with Wannabe, Say You’ll Be There, Spice Up Your Life and Stop, transforming the festival into a full-throttle throwback.
Rock fans are next, as arena-sized anthems echo across the site, Bon Jovi classics including Livin’ on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, It’s My Life and Wanted Dead or Alive sound tracking a powerful shift in tempo.
The Saturday co-headliner is a booking rich with meaning. Following the recent passing of the legendary Mani, DavFest is honoured to welcome The Stone Roses by The Absolute Stone Roses, delivering era-defining indie classics; I Wanna Be Adored, Sally Cinnamon, She Bangs the Drums, Waterfall; with reverence, passion, and The AC/DC Tribute, AB/CD take the headline slot, closing DavFest 2026 in thunderous fashion. Back in Black, Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, You Shook Me All Night Long; a colossal ending worthy of one of the biggest rock catalogues on the planet.
Beyond the stages, DavFest 2026 delivers a complete festival experience: two bars, exciting new food offerings, a bouncy castle village, fairground rides, local traders (with more still to be announced), merchandise, face painters, glitter stations, camping, and several new additions waiting to be revealed. High-end security, professional medical cover, waste management, and comprehensive facilities ensure a safe, clean, and family-friendly celebration throughout.
DavFest 2026 isn’t just back...it’s bigger, braver, and set to be the most unforgettable summer weekend Daventry has ever seen.

Renowned for its welcoming spirit, the festival is guided by a community of musicians, organisers, villagers, police, and stewards, all committed to ensuring that every attendee enjoys a safe and memorable experience. As festival-goer Mark McCulloch notes, “When you are part of that crowd late on Saturday night singing Meet on the Ledge with everyone else… it’s magic. When you stroll down a leafy lane in the sunshine… it’s magic. When you are sat in the cool dark evening with good friends, singing songs… it’s magic. Cropredy will seep into your soul. You’ll want to come back for another taste of that communal magic.”
Following the model introduced in 2025, 2026 tickets are available as three-day passes only, priced at £240, with weekend camping at £65 per vehicle. Youth tickets for ages 12–17 are £90, and day visitor parking costs £15 for the weekend. Turin Brakes return to the stage to celebrate their 25th anniversary, following on from their 2022 appearance. Danny & The Champions of the World bring their acclaimed Americana sound after a thirteen-year absence, and The Celtic Social Club, blending traditional Celtic, rock, and pop influences, make their first appearance at Cropredy.

A Village Tradition: The Brasenose Fringe Returns in 2026
The Brasenose Arms in Cropredy will once again host its celebrated Fairport Fringe Festival in August 2026, reaffirming its status as a cornerstone of the village’s cultural and musical life. Set in the heart of Cropredy, a rural Oxfordshire village just four miles north of Banbury, the Brasenose Arms is a distinguished 17th-century country inn steeped in history and tradition.
Originally comprising three cottages, the building was converted into a public house in the late 17th century. The inn stands on land once purchased from Brasenose College, from which it takes its name, making it the only pub in the country known as the Brasenose Arms. The name itself is thought to derive from a corruption of brasenhuis or brewhouse, reflecting the college’s origins on the site of an ancient brewery.
By popular demand, the Brasenose Fringe Festival returns from Thursday 13 August to Sunday 16 August 2026. This year’s festival is set to be the most ambitious to date, featuring the largest and strongest line-up in its history. In addition to an expanded music programme, the Brasenose Arms will be hosting additional food stalls, ensuring exceptional dining alongside a programme of high-quality live music.
For four days, the pub’s garden will be opened to welcome hundreds of visitors, offering a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere centred on outstanding music, well-kept beer, local food, and community spirit.
The 2026 line-up includes Harbottle & Jonas, the acclaimed English folk duo known for their exquisite harmonies; Leatherat, purveyors of high-octane folk-rock and established festival favourites; and Steve Knightley, the multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and musician who holds a prominent place in the Folk, Acoustic, and Roots music scene, among many others.

Saving Oxfordshire’s Curlews: A Call Echoing Across the Meadows
Few sounds capture the spirit of the British countryside quite like the haunting call of the Curlew. For generations, this much-loved bird has inspired artists, poets, farmers, and nature-lovers alike. Yet today, the Curlew’s evocative cry is fading from our landscape. In just two decades, the UK has lost half of its breeding population, placing this iconic species among our most threatened ground-nesting birds.
Here in Oxfordshire, we hold a special responsibility for their future. Our county supports around 10% of the UK’s remaining lowland Curlews—a significant proportion of a declining population. Their loss has been driven by a combination of pressures: the disappearance of wetlands and meadows, intensive grassland management, predation by foxes and crows, and the impact of development and infrastructure.
Over the past five years, Wild Oxfordshire has worked alongside a powerful network of conservation charities, dedicated volunteers, and supportive farmers to turn the tide. Together, we’ve protected 110 Curlew nests using temporary electric fencing, achieving a 74% hatching success rate—a remarkable improvement on the national average of just 25%. Thanks to these efforts, 61 young Curlews have fledged from Oxfordshire’s meadows.
None of this would be possible without the generous support of Natural England, and the tireless commitment of volunteers, farmers, and conservation partners who continue to give their time and energy to protecting Oxfordshire’s Curlews.
The Curlew’s call has echoed across our meadows for centuries. With continued effort and collaboration, we can ensure it continues to be heard for generations to come.
